It compatible with most brands of GPS software, the popular are IGO, Route66, TomTom and Finean. However hardware specific software such as Garmin may not run on this unit. The DVB-T has two encoded signal types (MPEG-2 or MPEG-4) for your selection. The DVB-T with MPEG-2 format only receive MPEG-2 encoded signals, while DVB-T with MPEG-4 format receive all signals for MPEG-2 and MPEG-4. Please check whether your region's Digital TV broadcasts are MPEG-2 type or MPEG-4 before purchasing this product.

The Digital TV tuner for MPEG-2 type is built-in. While if you choose DVB-T (MPEG-4 type), it is an external reciever. It also can work together with all other car video products who have video-in port.
